The Pink Pacers held the Kick Off for 2012 for this year’s
Get Heeled 5k benefit at the UNC Linebeger’s Pediatric Oncology and Hematology
Clinic. The Get Heeled 5k is donating 100% of the proceeds to the family
support services at the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Clinic. Dr. Stuart
Gold, Chief of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, officially welcomed us with a
tour of the clinic.

Chase Jones, a UNC Chapel-Hill alum baseball
player and brain cancer survivor, expressed his personal experience of how the
clinic impacted his life. We are so thankful for community groups such as the
