The NC Triangle Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure
hosted a Lunch-n-Learn for the Applebee’s-Apple Gold Group. We strive to inform
the importance of Race for the Cure and breast cancer health awareness.

Race
for the Cure proceeds and donations are divided locally and nationally, 75% of
net funds locally fund education, screening, and treatment programs and 25% of
net funds nationally fund research to find the cure for breast cancer. It is
imperative to know breast cancer health awareness: 1) Knowing your risks of acquiring breast
cancer 2) Annual screenings and monthly self breast examinations 3) Maintaining
a health lifestyle.

The Annual Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure is June 9,
2012 at Meredith College
