On April 24, I was featured as a guest speaker for the E-GIRLS luncheon in Winston Salem, NC along with Miss Winston Salem State University. E-GIRLS provides access to a positive female role model within a structured partnership focused on the needs of young girls. E-GIRLS' goal is to mentor the girls as they learn important life skills, develop and improve communication and leadership skills, strive for their overall personal growth and ultimately, to believe that they are special. I was so honored and blessed to share my testimony about what has driven me to success, and the obstacles I have encountered along the way. It was inspiring to see the excitement and accomplishments of these beautiful young women, and the amazing leaders that they are growing to be. I was so touched to play a small role in their lives, and I only hope that this partnership with E-GIRLS flourishes and not only allows these girls to learn from me, but allows me to learn from these beautiful young queens.
