The 2012 North Carolina International Queens attended the 1st Annual Nicholas Sparks Celebrity Family Weekend in New Bern, North Carolina. The Luncheon kicked off the weekend where we joined Nicholas Sparks along with celebrity guests, the Real Housewife of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi and Disney Channel star Jake T. Austin. Other icons and special guests attended the Luncheon to help benefit the Nicholas Sparks Foundation, which ensures accessibility to quality educational opportunities, as well as, global experiences.

Peacock's Plume, one of New Bern's elegant boutiques, presented the spring fashion show during the Luncheon. The spring themed fashion show was directed by the boutique owner, Robyn Hawkins, with Miss USA 2005 Chelsea Cooley as master of ceremonies. New Bern locals, beauty pageant contestants and Queens modeled various spring pieces from both Peacock's Plum and Nicole Miller!

A live auction was held to close the Luncheon. Several items were available for bid, including, autographed Nicholas Sparks memorabilia, tickets to Nicole Miller Fashion Week in New York City, fashion items from Frye, Cole Haan, Donald J Pliner, and Trina Turk. In addition, Nicolas Sparks awarded guests with a variety of his books and concluded with a book signing. This experience was breathtaking and definitely memorable!
