It was an honor and pleasure to be a part of the 9th Annual A Better World Celebrity Golf Tournament held at the Palisades Country Club on May 18th. I was happy to volunteer my time to this Organization and their event. It is important to support other Foundations in our communities and others’ passions. We all need to support each other and work together for A Better World and A Better Charlotte!
I greeted the players as they came to register in the morning. The teams assembled, practiced on the Putting Green, and then it was Team Photo Time! It was good to see familiar faces and meet new friends. We all put on our BIG smiles for the photographers as they clicked away!
Joseph and Coles-Albert were excited to join in on the fun! Mr. North Carolina International drove us in a Golf Cart so I could also be photographed on the course with the players in action! It was a challenge to hold onto the cart and Coles-Albert and NOT fall out of the Cart!
Before I left I was asked to sign my name on the Sponsor Celebrity Flags ~ all 10! Each team and sponsor would be able to enjoy these after the tournament as a souvenir! THAT was a true honor to be included! Thank you to Takisha and her team for making me feel that my participation made a difference in this year’s event!
A Better World is a non-profit organization that reaches out to children and their families in the Ashley Park Community and the surrounding area to offer after school care, classes and training which will assist them in many areas of their lives. By enhancing the educational and spiritual growth of these individuals, they will strive to actualize their potential in marvelous ways.
