Miss NC International Silpada Jewelry Party and Positive Wellness Alliance!

Hello everyone!!

What a great 3 months it has been being Miss North Carolina International! My preparations for Miss International have been under way since day 1, and I am truly enjoying this journey. My fabulous wardrobe sponsor, Mary Dike with What If Designs by Mary hosted a Silpada Jewelry party for myself and my friends where a portion of the jewelry sold will go to my Miss International trip. What a great time of food, fun and fellowship. We truly had such a blessed experience, and I am so grateful to my wonderful girlfriends and their amazing support!

Along with the jewelry party, I also had a couple Positive Wellness Alliance events. As the Board Chair, one of my jobs is to lead and hold an executive board meeting along with a full board meeting. At the meetings, we confirmed some wonderful fundraising events that will take place in July and August. One really awesome event will be hosted by myself and my two girlfriends and fellow board members Amy and Mallorie. It is sponsored by The Red Pump Project, and it will be called the Say Red Cocktails Send Off Party for Miss North Carolina International. It will be held on July 15 at The Mix in Greensboro, NC as a send off party for me as I go to Miss International! All of the proceeds from the party will go directly to Positive Wellness Alliance. We are so excited!! Of course the theme for the party is red extravagance, so everyone will don a red outfit or a red signature piece.

Lastly, Positive Wellness Alliance hosted one of the many International AIDS Memorial Candlelight Services at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington, NC. The service was beautiful and touching. Over 90 names were read off as people who have died this year from this disease. It was so amazing to be in the presence of so many people that share my passion for stopping the spread of HIV and educating our community about the impact of HIV/AIDS. Through my platform One Life to Love, I want to encourage everyone to be aware, be educated and be safe.

Thank you for reading my blog!

All of my love and blessings,

Kristie Tobias

"Be strong in the Lord and, Never give up hope. You're going to do great things, I already know. God's got His hand on you so, Don't live life in fear. Forgive and forget, But don't forget why you're here. Take your time and pray, These are the words I would say." ~Sidewalk Prophets
