Caitlyn's Closet: Miss Teen North Carolina International

All Of us ladies

International girls and Katie!
Calling a raffle

When we first met Isabella and her mommy!

Hi!
Yesterday was perhaps one of the most rewarding days of my life! Caitlyn's Closet is one of the best programs ever! As a teen I know the importance of prom and how much fun it can be. At this event with all my sister queens, I did everything from zipping gowns and attempting to call out raffle winner's names to sitting on the ground babysitting. One of the best experiences actually had nothing to do with me. I had just walked into the main room and caught the conversation one of the girls who got a dress and Katie. The girl was crying while her dad stood behind her, her exact words were, "Daddy i'm just so happy because we can't afford a dress." That just showed me the appreciation and need of these girls. Thats what being a queen is all about. Forget the glitz and glamour and just getting down to the raw reality that we can truly make a difference in someone's life. We live in a lost and hurting world that needs a glimmer of hope. I've never seen so many faces light up and never heard so many girls say I feel beautiful. Although I won't be a queen next year, I will attend Caitlyn's Closet next year and years to come.
